East Grinstead division

East Grinstead division

All units are run by volunteers and we always need more help to be able to offer more great opportunities to the girls and young women in our divisions.

If you live in one of our districts and you or your daughter would like to join us, please register her/yourself on our main Girlguiding website.

Girlguiding East Grinstead division is divided into two  districts – Sackville and Buckhurst

  • Sackville district includes southern East Grinstead and Ashurst Wood
  • Buckhurst district includes  Felbridge and northern East Grinstead.

East Grinstead division
was formed very soon after Girlguiding was started.

Our units meet in a variety of local venues on most days of the week

Currently we have 4 Rainbow units, 8 Brownie units, 4 Guide units, and 2 Ranger units

In the 1920’s the daughters of the Beale family who lived at Standen (now a National Trust property) were early supporters and Girl Guide volunteer leaders.   Division meetings were held in the Drawing Room at Standen as well as division picnics in the grounds.
